The television air date is still a way’s away, but we’re already getting more than a few sneak peeks of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2012-2013. First there were those 60+ runway images we posted, then the close-up of Nicholas Kirkwood‘s custom-designed shoes for the VS Angels, and now we’re getting our first look at the show in motion, via an exclusive video shot by the folks over at The Coveteur.
After watching that clip, the CBS air date can’t come soon enough. Is it December 4 yet?

As if the 60+ shots we posted yesterday of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2012-2013 edition weren’t titillating enough, here’s a little something for those of you who are more interested in footwear than in heavily-embellished bras and panties: Nicholas Kirkwood custom-designed each pair of shoes in the runway show. The London-based shoe designer’s signature platforms and sculpted heels adorned the feet of the likes of VS Angels Alessandra Ambrosia, Miranda Kerr and Adriana Lima when the show taped earlier this week.
Take a peek at the gallery below for a closer look at Kirkwood’s designs. Dying for a pair? All you needed was a pair of Angel wings to get your hands on one.

Despite the antics of a hurricane named Sandy, the 2012-2013 edition of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show taped last night to a celebrity-packed audience at the 69th Regiment Armory in New York. The highly-anticipated show saw the biggest names in the modelling industry, including show opener Miranda Kerr, Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Karlie Kloss, Doetzen Kroes and more, strut their fabulous stuff in elaborate and over-the-top lingerie and, for the chosen few, Angel wings.
It’s tough to follow last year’s Kanye, Jay-Z, Maroon 5 and Nicki Minaj combination, but this year’s musical acts were no less spectacular. Rihanna, Justin Bieber (who’ll be performing at the Grey Cup 2012 half-time show this month!) and Bruno Mars all took the stage.
The highlight, however, had to be Alessandra Ambrosio, my favourite VS Angel, modeling this year’s million dollar bra, a jeweled creation worth $2.5 million. The rest of the runway show was split into themed segments: “Circus”, “Dangerous Liaisons”, “Calendar Girls”, “Pink Is Us”, “Silver Screen Angels” and “Angels in Bloom”.

The 2011-2012 edition of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show taped last night to a celebrity-packed audience at the 26th St. Armory in New York. The $12-million show saw the biggest names in the modelling industry, including Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Miranda Kerr, Karlie Kloss, Chanel Iman and more, saunter down the runway in barely there lingerie and, for the chosen few, Angel wings.
The musical acts were no less bold-faced, featuring Maroon 5, Nicki Minaj and Kanye West, with Jay-Z making a surprise one-song appearance. The themes of the runway show segments – over-the-top cheesy as always, but immensely fun – included Ballet, “Super Angels”, “Passion”, “Angels Aquatic”, “I put a spell on you” and “Club Pink” this year. I have the VS Fashion Show on PVR and haven’t had a chance to watch it yet, but I came across this photo of Marisa Miller strutting her stuff in this year’s fantasy bra, a $3M diamond-studded concoction. I know she didn’t style herself, but her ensemble (little to it as there may be) is hot. Makes me want to say “worrrrrrrrrrrrrk.”

Style.com gave Tommy Ton a rather enviable assignment: we’ll get you backstage access at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show if you take photos of gorgeous VS Angels for us – deal? Seems unlikely he, or any male on the planet, would turn that one down. I’m trying as much as possible to avoid any runway shots so I can preserve my sense of wonder and awe for the airing of the show on December 1st, but I couldn’t resist posting my favourites from Tommy Ton’s backstage shots. Only at the VS Fashion Show can you see feathers, spikes and balloons all on the same stage – love the fantasy and indulgence of it all! See the rest of the shots here. xx, S

Ready to set my PVR for the airing of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show on CBS on December 1st, 2009. So many things to look forward to – Alessandra Ambrosio opening the show, the Black Eyed Peas performing, Heidi Klum strutting her stuff 5 weeks after giving birth, Liu Wen hitting the runway as the first Asian model to do so since 2003… The theme of the show is said to be Magical Journeys. Can’t wait to embark!

Every year, the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show signals the beginning of the holiday season for me and I’m finding that this year it has sneakily snuck up on me. I’m ready for turkey and candy canes and Christmas presents, but not the cold, the snow and the slush. Nevertheless, ready or not, that time of year is here and the VS Fashion Show is being taped this week. I can tell already that this year’s show is going to be amazing because my favourite Angel, Alessandra Ambrosio, is opening the show. Style.com had some sneak peeks of Alessandra’s and Miranda Kerr’s fittings earlier this week – just a little taste of what’s to come when the show airs early December.
