With the much-anticipated high-low collaboration between Joseph Altuzarra and Target set to drop one month from now, the cheap and cheerful retailer has released the complete lookbook for our viewing pleasure.
The capsule collection features nearly 50 pieces of apparel, shoes and accessories that stay true to the New York-based designer’s signature sexy aesthetic. ”We are really focused on a very adult and seductive way of dressing,” says Altuzarra. High on our wish list? The luxe red velvet tuxedo jacket, incredibly hot over-the-knee boots, and ultra-chic wrap dress.
Retailing from $17.99 to $89.99, Altuzarra x Target will launch on September 14 at most Target stores across Canada, as well as Target.com (which sadly doesn’t ship north of the border) and Net-a-porter (select assortment). Take a gander at the complete collection in the gallery below and check out a sneak peek video of the ad campaign starring Eva Herzigova. Which pieces do you have your eye on?

If you’ve been wearing your Peter Pilotto for Target items non-stop over the last few months and have started wondering what the discount retailer has up its sleeve next, we’ve got answers for you. Namely, Altuzarra for Target – coming to a location near you this upcoming September.
Joseph Altuzarra, creative director of his eponymous line, has created an almost 50-piece, limited-edition capsule collection of women’s apparel, accessories, shoes and even lingerie for Target. “As a designer, I believe firmly in the transformative power of fashion. It has the ability to not only change how you look, but also how you feel,” said the 2011 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund winner. “I’ve admired the elegance that Target brings to fast fashion. By working together on this capsule collection, we hope to instill a sense of power, confidence and beauty in women everywhere.”
Priced from $17.99 to $89.99 for apparel and $29.99 to $79.99 for shoes and accessories, Altuzarra for Target will launch on September 14 at most Target stores, as well as Target.com and Net-a-porter. Mark your calendars! And check out the preview video below while you count down the days.

One of the New Year’s resolutions (remember those things?) we vowed to try really, really hard to keep was to produce more personal style posts in 2014. Suffice to say, the first half of the year has been an utter failure, thanks in large part to Mother Nature’s insistence that winter and all the snow and bitterly cold temperatures that come with it continue for what felt like forever. (Thank the blogging gods for the brave bloggers who still filled The Canadian Street Style Lookbook every week, snowstorm or not). But no more excuses: spring is here and we’re shyly emerging into the world of personal style blogging again, rather tentatively.
Our first attempt this spring had us having trouble finding the light and feeling lazy about venturing any further to find a better locale – both subject and photographer are out of practice at this point, so forgive us. Buuut, poor lighting aside, we’d like to focus on the Sarah Stevenson for Target floral blazer sported here. Purchased one size too big because of an inability to wake up early on the day of the collection’s launch, it turned out to be perfectly oversized and a great pop of colour over head-to-toe black. Unflatteringly large, or oversized in that cool girl way? It’s a fine line, but we think we got it spot on this time.

Ever since she was crowned the winner of the Toronto Fashion Incubator New Labels 2013 competition, we’ve been waiting patiently for the big reveal of Sarah Stevenson‘s exclusive capsule collection for New Labels sponsor Target. Well, the wait is finally over and we’re delighted to find that the Toronto-based designer has created an offering that perfectly marries her romantic aesthetic with Target’s pocketbook-friendly prices.
“When I found out that I was going to be doing a line for Target, it was important for me that the Target collection be really reflective of who I am as a brand,” said Sarah. Happily for us, that means florals, florals and more florals. “I look for inspiration everywhere, but I always end up doing florals…I’ll re-interpret florals in many different ways.” And we can’t get enough of it.
Sarah Stevenson for Target launches in select Canadian stores on March 23. Check out the lookbook below – what’s on your wish list so far?

Ever since we got a little sneak peek of the upcoming Peter Pilotto for Target collaboration last month, we’ve been anxious to see the rest of the collection, and today our long wait has finally come to an end: the complete collection and lookbook have been unveiled.
Design duo Christopher De Vos and Peter Pilotto have created a 60+ piece line-up with their signature bold, brightly-coloured prints – this time surf-inspired. Said De Vos, “The starting point was swimwear, and we were very happy that we could do it first with Target. We found it exciting to build the looks around that category. That was the idea that there are all these pieces in swimwear like rash guards and tops that you build an outfit around.”
The rash guards don’t quite make our wish list (truthfully, we had to google ‘rash guard’), but more than a few of the blouses, skirts and dresses definitely do. Maybe even a pair of sunglasses to complete the look. Pricing will be very pocketbook-friendly, ranging from $14.99 to $79.99 for apparel and swimwear and $16.99 to $39.99 for accessories.
The collection launches in Target stores and online at Target.com and Net-a-porter.com on February 9, so mark your calendars if you haven’t already. Which pieces will you be braving the line-up outside your local Target store for?

We weren’t expecting to get a first look at Target‘s upcoming high-low collaboration with London-based label Peter Pilotto any time soon, but the discount retailer has released a single image via Elle.com, and it’s looking rather promising. Bold prints and silhouettes are key features of design duo Christopher De Vos and Peter Pilotto’s aesthetic, and that’s exactly what they’re serving up for Target customers.
“Even if it’s a cheaper price point, it was mutually agreed with Target that the collection had to look very Peter Pilotto,” De Vos says, and so far it does. Floral and geometric graphics are printed on tops, bottoms and even shoes. From left: Stretch-nylon swim top, $25; cotton, nylon, and spandex skirt, $35; cotton and nylon slip-on sneakers, $30 a pair; spandex-blend romper, $50; spandex-blend racer-back tank, $25; and skirt, $35.
The collection launches in stores and online on February 9, 2014, and we can’t wait to see the rest of the line-up. Are you loving what you’re seeing so far?

Peter Pilotto Spring 2012 finale
A mere day after the successful launch of its collaboration with 3.1 Phillip Lim, Target announced its next designer partnership for Spring 2014. This time, the discount department store chain is teaming up with the design duo behind London-based label Peter Pilotto.
Known for their inventive use of prints and artful silhouettes, Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos have created a collection of almost 70 items to be sold exclusively at Target stores, Target.com and, for the first time, Net-a-porter.com. The line-up of women’s clothing, accessories and swimwear is due to hit stores on February 9, 2014, and we highly suggest you mark your calendars now. February may sound like a way’s away, but we have a feeling you’ll be needing the recovery time after the recent 3.1 Phillip Lim x Target adventures.
Check out the video below for the shortest of sneak peeks of Peter Pilotto for Target. Are you excited?
Last week we gave you just a sneak peek of the 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target collaboration, and if those few images got you excited for the upcoming launch, you’re going to really freak out about the 90+ images we have for you of the complete collection.
The gallery below comes with a warning though: with over 100 items in the line-up and all priced rather reasonably from $19.99 to $299.99, there’s definitely going to be some damage to your pocketbook when this capsule hits stores. It’s inevitable. But the question is, will you be snagging a lovely cocktail dress, a set of chic pyjamas, a handbag (or two!)…or all of the above?
The collection will be available starting September 15 in most Target locations in the US and Canada as well as on target.com. Mark your calendar if you haven’t already and start culling that wish list!
The 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target collection will be available at all Target stores across Canada. However, certain styles may not be stocked at all locations. Good luck and happy shopping!

It’s turning out to be a busy year for Target on the designer collaboration front. First Prabal Gurung, then Kate Young, and now? 3.1 Phillip Lim.
Yes, you read right: the popular New York-based contemporary designer (and one of our favourites!) has created a limited edition collection of men’s and women’s apparel and accessories for the discount department store chain. “Since an early age, I’ve been intrigued by the idea of design evolution,” Lim said in a press release. “One of the reasons I wanted to collaborate with Target is because I felt that together we could create a collection that would inspire – one that is modern and chic, but still very accessible.”
The travel-friendly line-up will feature over 100 items priced from $19.99 to $299.99. The collection will launch on September 15, and will be available in most Target locations in the US and Canada as well as on target.com. Check out the sneak peek video here and watch this space for more on 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target in the coming months!
