Jessica Chastain in Erdem Resort 2013 at 85th Academy Awards Nominations Luncheon
With the Oscars just around the corner on February 24 and the competition to dress the leading ladies no doubt heating up, there’s one designer in particular we’re really rooting for this year: Erdem Moralioglu. The Canadian-born, London-based purveyor of ladylike, floral-print dresses has been a surprise favourite so far this awards season, and we’re absolutely delighted for him.
From the gorgeous floral print gown donned by Marion Cotillard to the 2013 BAFTA Awards Season Tea Party to the lovely embroidered shift dress with lace sleeves that Jessica Chastain wore to the 85th Academy Awards Nominations Luncheon, Erdem has been on a winning streak this month that we’re really, really hoping culminates in an Oscars red carpet appearance. Wouldn’t you agree, Rachel Zoe? Kate Young? Fingers crossed!
Which Erdem look has been your favourite so far this awards season?

Because I like to torture myself, I spent yesterday daydreaming about a $4,000 Burberry peplum trench coat. Today, my fickle heart has already found a new piece of sartorial genius to covet: Chanel camellia sneakers!
These black and white leather kicks from Chanel’s Resort 2013 collection are embellished with the brand’s double-C logo and signature camellias, which I adore. No word yet on the price tag, but I bet these shoes would match perfectly with the fun Chanel croquet set and bicycle I sadly also can’t afford.

It’s been 48 days since the last time I posted about a pair of Charlotte Olympia shoes I’m coveting. Though that may seem like plenty long ago, the to-die-for designs from Charlotte Dellal’s Fall 2012 and Cruise 2013 collections could probably have filled half of our editorial calendar for the last 48 days.
There are quite a few pairs that I would be more than happy (read: ecstatic!) to welcome to my burgeoning CO stash, including this stunning platform sandal for Resort. With its dainty flower embellishments and bamboo platform and heel, this exquisite shoe is more pretty and less cheeky than some of the other Charlotte Olympia creations I’ve had on my wish list to date.
Though I love a good fruit-themed shoe (who doesn’t?), I’m liking this other side of Dellal’s aesthetic just as much. More of this please!

Remember when Diane Kruger owned Cannes? I’ve missed her daily red carpet appearances, so I was delighted to see her – in a beret, no less! – at the Chanel Haute Couture Fall 2012 show.
Completing her unmistakably Parisian look was a midi, full-skirted denim dress from Chanel‘s Resort 2013 collection, an eye-catching ear cuff, a metallic clutch and a pair of spiked, pointy-toe flats. None of the pieces individually was anything to write home a blog post about, but together made for a rather perfect ensemble for taking in the couture shows in Paris. And that’s exactly what Diane did.

When Karl Lagerfeld presented Chanel’s Resort 2013 collection in Versailles back in May, I had an inkling that the accessories were going to be to-die-for. Well, it’s now been confirmed. The Purse Blog got a close-up look at the handbag, footwear and jewelry line-up recently, and as soon as I saw their gorgeous shots, I knew I was in trouble: I’m in love with every, single piece.
The ridiculous price increases over the last few years made me swear off buying any more Chanel accessories, but I have a feeling Cruise 2013 is going to prove irresistible. On the bright side, at least I have many, many months to save up for that stunning gold and white chain detail bag. Or to work on convincing Santa that I’ve been a really, really good girl.

Ever since awards season wrapped up for the year, I’ve missed the weekly Michelle Williams red carpet sightings. Seeing shots of her in front of the step and repeat at the NYC screening of her latest film, Take This Waltz, was a lovely surprise – and so was her ensemble.
Michelle traded in her usual ladylike style for a vampier look, courtesy of a sexy LBD from Altuzarra‘s Resort 2013 collection and fierce white sandals by Givenchy. The last time we saw her she was wearing an elegant red gown at the Oscars, and before that a boyish shorts suit at the Independent Spirit Awards.
Is there anything Michelle can’t pull off? I think not.
