Spotted from the Backseat: Designer Off Duty

I recently had the pleasure of meeting Toronto-based fashion designer and bona fide glamazon Nada Sheppard, in an elevator no less. When we emerged from our shared elevator ride at The Spoke Club into the light of day, I caught a glimpse of her vampy yet office-ready look (well, some offices anyway) and knew I had to document it.

I wear a lot of drab black and white to work myself, but accessorizing to give monochromatic outfits more oomph is an art I’ve yet to master. Sheppard, on the other hand, clearly has this skill down pat. She added pops of colour to her largely black-and-white outfit with bright red lips, nails and belt to match, and threw in some animal print for good measure. The result is anything but boring.

On Sheppard: NADA Spring 2011 shirt / NADA Fall 2010 coat / Hermès bag / YSL Tribtoo calf hair pumps
