Glamour comes in all different forms – from minis to tuxedos to gowns, these are the looks I adored the most from this year’s Costume Institute gala.
Liu Wen and Constance Jablonski and their legs that go on forever both looked stunning in their minis. Alexa Chung, as always, marched to the beat of her own drum, and I absolutely loved the combination of the crimson lipstick and 3.1 Phillip Lim tuxedo. Ever since Carey Mulligan came on the scene, she’s been making unexpected picks that have been bang on, and her lace Miu Miu was a standout among a sea of floor length gowns. Plus I’m a sucker for dresses with pockets. I’m not usually a fan of Nicole Richie’s style, but she was a knockout in a metallic Marc Jacobs dress that made her petite frame look long and lean. Naomi Watts’ berry Stella McCartney gown was to die for; the shoulder ruffles made my heart pitter patter. Finally, Emma Watson kept it young and fresh in a sexy white Burberry number…what I would give to have the relationship she does with Christopher Bailey!

Took me a few days to decide whether or not I’m feeling Alexander Wang’s pre-fall 2010 collection. There’s a lot of black, so that’s certainly a plus for me and my largely black + white + grey wardrobe. After looking through the photos a bazillionth time, I finally came to the conclusion today that I’m a fan of certain pieces, but would definitely pass on some. What I do love for sure is Liu Wen and how she’s everywhere these days.

Ready to set my PVR for the airing of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show on CBS on December 1st, 2009. So many things to look forward to – Alessandra Ambrosio opening the show, the Black Eyed Peas performing, Heidi Klum strutting her stuff 5 weeks after giving birth, Liu Wen hitting the runway as the first Asian model to do so since 2003…
The theme of the show is said to be Magical Journeys. Can’t wait to embark!

Models.com reports that, according to calculations by the Fashion Spot‘s community, Constance Jablonski walked 72 runways during the Spring 2010 shows in New York, London, Milan and Paris, making her the busiest model of the season. The following models round out the top 10, with several ties:
I expected Karlie Kloss to be higher up on the list, since it seemed she was fiercely stomping all over all of the runways, but really 56 shows is nothing to scoff at.
Congrats to Constance…hopefully she’s getting some well-deserved rest.
