The Canadian Street Style Lookbook – April 18, 2014 Edition

Jill Lansky of The August Diaries, Vancouver

Spring has sprung in our favourite Canadian style bloggers’ wardrobes. Flowers have begun blooming (in some parts of the country), and likewise greenery is making appearances in bloggers’ sartorial odes to the arrival of spring.

This week, Ania paired a foliage print collared shirt with white trousers for a cool, mensy vibe, Marie sported rose print cropped pants in the perfect transitional look, and Ivy donned a cute palm tree print sweatshirt for a visit to see the cherry blossoms that have already bloomed in Vancouver.

The Canadian Street Style Lookbook – April 11, 2014 Edition

Lily Nguyen of Bleed For Fashion, Vancouver

With the sun shining and the snow having melted away, spring fashion is finally emerging on the fashion blogs this week (sans goosebumps). Parkas were traded in for denim jackets, open-toe shoes started to be favoured over boots, and bare legs began to see the light of day.

Samantha rocked a pair of funky shades, Anik bared her shoulders, and Lily took her classic YSL Tribute sandals out for a spin. Are you diving head first into spring fashion too?

Shop Like A Style Blogger: 25 Mint-y Fresh Items to Pop Your Spring Wardrobe

Toronto natives Lisa of Just Another Fashion Blog and Jay Strut both sported a pop of mint green in last week’s edition of The Canadian Street Style Lookbook, reminding us of the love affair we’d started with the colour last summer that abruptly ended with the arrival of fall. With spring officially here and temperatures starting to co-operate, we’re looking to pick up right where we left off and bring some minty freshness into our wardrobe rotation again.

Lucky for us, we aren’t the only ones with mint on the brain. From Alexander Wang satin bomber jackets ($525) to H&M circle skirts ($19.95) to Burberry Prorsum lace dresses ($3,095), we’ve gathered 25 of the chicest, mintiest clothing and accessories on the market in the gallery below. Give it a gander – will you be popping your spring outfits with some mint green too?

The Canadian Street Style Lookbook – December 13, 2013 Edition

Samantha Beckerman of Beckerman Bite Plate, Toronto

This past week was an ode to Isabel Marant on the Canadian style blogs.

Liz and Ivy showed her H&M collaboration some love, while Samantha stepped out in a head-to-toe getup from the Paris-based designer’s eponymous line. All three looked cool as cucumbers in their perfectly layered ensembles despite the week’s frigidly cold temperatures.

We’re still obsessed with our Isabel Marant pour H&M buys. Have you been rocking yours?

The Canadian Street Style Lookbook – December 6, 2013 Edition

Dani Roche and Bianca Venerayan of Kastor & Pollux, Toronto

It’s officially December, ladies and gents, and the holiday season is in full swing. With themed shindigs on the calendar and party outfits to be styled, we look to our favourite Canadian style bloggers for some inspiration this week.

Sasha‘s “psyachadelic winter watercolours” printed dress, as she calls it, made our jaws drop, and Krystin‘s ruffled, baby pink frock is just too lovely for words. Two very different looks, but both equally stunning and perfect for two-stepping under the mistletoe.

What’s your go-to ensemble this holiday season?

The Canadian Street Style Lookbook – November 29, 2013 Edition

Ania Boniecka of Ania.B, Victoria

We’re not fans of these sub-zero temperatures we’ve been getting this week, but if there’s one silver lining it’s the opportunity to get our layer on.

Our favourite style bloggers from across Canada put in a lesson in layering this week. Ania in Victoria, Raez in Toronto and Alyssa in Edmonton all went for the black-on-black look, managing to stay warm and look impressively chic. Kudos to them for not giving into the urge to abandon their leather jackets and ankle booties just yet.

We ourselves haven’t been nearly as brave.

The Canadian Street Style Lookbook – October 18, 2013 Edition

Bianca Venerayan of Kastor & Pollux, Toronto

We just declared our love for the almighty ankle bootie a few days ago, and it seems we aren’t the only ones who feel this way. Many of our favourite Canadian bloggers were rocking their ankle booties this week, and we’re itching to join them.

Sasha sported a gorgeous bordeaux pair with her leather moto jacket and animal print skirt, Kate wore a chic black suede pair with her super cute gingham shirt and fox sweater combo (what does the fox say?), and Anik donned a fierce buckled pair with her cozy wool coat and covet-worthy perforated leather skirt.

Dying for a pair too? In case you missed it, check out our round-up of this fall’s 20 must-have ankle booties.

The Canadian Street Style Lookbook – October 11, 2013 Edition

Lisa Dengler of Just Another Fashion Blog, Toronto/New York

This week’s Lookbook entry is an ode to those standout pieces in our closets that are so damn good that the rest of the outfit barely matters.

Lisa‘s vest (need. one. now.), Anik‘s trousers (styled perfectly as always), and Jentine‘s coat (a $4 vintage find!!!) are hero pieces that definitely fall into this category. And can we focus on Alyssa‘s pineapple bag for a minute? Downright adorable (as is she).

The Canadian Street Style Lookbook – October 4, 2013 Edition

Alyssa Lau of Ordinary People, Edmonton

Black and white was undoubtedly the colour combo for the summer. Now that fall has arrived, Canadian style bloggers are transitioning their favourite black and white get-ups with pops of crimson red, and we’re loving the results.

This week alone, Ivy paired a sweet black and white daisy-print dress with a red hot hobo bag, Caillianne styled a whimsical red and black trompe l’oeil sweater dress with a red and white scarf and black gaucho hat, Alyssa sported a to-die-for black and white check bomber jacket with a red and white plaid pencil skirt, and Joandy wore a black and white tee with the word “red” inscribed on it (how perfect is that!) with a red plaid skirt of her own. Apparently, they all got the memo.

Did you?

The Canadian Street Style Lookbook – September 27, 2013 Edition

Justine Iaboni of Whatever Eurotrash, Toronto

3.1 Phillip Lim for Target has officially taken over the style blogs, ladies and gents. It’s been almost 2 weeks since launch day, and we’ve been thoroughly enjoying the non-stop parade of Lim x Target looks. Each blogger has been making the pieces their own, putting their individual style stamps on the collection.

This week, Stephanie and Lookbook newcomer Assa both sported leopard-print designs from the wildly popular collab. Stephanie paired her A-line skirt with a striped tee and sparkly statement necklace, while Assa styled her dress with a timeless white blazer and classic tote. Both looked ultra-chic, and fully recovered from their shopping adventures.
