Kate Moss, in Spring 2012 haute couture, styled by Grace Coddington and photographed by Tim Walker with the Ritz Paris as the breathtaking backdrop. It doesn’t get much better than this.
I have a sudden urge to (a) travel to Paris, (b) stay at the Ritz and (c) go on a Chanel shopping spree. So, how do we make this happen?

After months of speculation, Kate Moss married YSL-clad musician Jamie Hince yesterday in a custom gown by John Galliano, as had been rumoured. While many have expressed disappointment with the supermodel’s ’safe’ choice, I find Moss’ vintage-inspired dress to be refreshing. It may not have the wow factor of a couture show finale dress, but it’s beautiful in its simple silhouette and subtle detailing. Besides, how could I not post photos of a gorgeous bride, grinning from ear to ear, who just so happens to be an international fashion icon?

Topshop has confirmed that Kate Moss’ 14th collection for the retailer, which will be released October 25th, will be her last. Included in this final release will be pieces from Moss’ first collection for Topshop that are still in demand to this day.
Thirteen collections since 2007 from Moss and I’ve managed to snag not a single piece. I have but one regret; I’ve been coveting this heart cardigan since I spotted it at Holt Renfrew so many years ago and made the mistake of leaving it behind. I’ve been scouring eBay for it ever since, with no luck. Now that Topshop is shipping internationally and Jonathan and Olivia is carrying Topshop locally in Toronto, all I need is for the cardigan to be reissued and it’s fiiinally mine. I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed until October 25th…or at least until lookbook images are released.

I’m favouring Kate Moss’ ensemble over that of Carine Roitfeld. Kate styled the YSL dress perfectly with the wide belt, simple pumps and chic clutch. Funny thing is, if it were me donning the same dress I’d most definitely pair it with black stockings and ankle boots, just like Carine. Kate makes a good case though for showing some leg and a bit of toe cleavage. I think I’m having a bit of a styling light bulb moment.

by The Backseat Stylers | December 29th, 2009 With the end of a decade drawing close, an inordinate number of “best of” lists have been popping up and joining the usual year-end lists, and the fun will surely continue until the clock strikes midnight this upcoming New Year’s Eve. I’m a fan of lists that remind me of the highs and lows and shockers of the last 365 days – or, in this case, 3,653 days – so I’m not complaining. Vogue Paris decided to get it on the action and compiled a list of the top 30 models of the decade. ‘Compiled’ is a gross understatement of the impossibility of such a task, I’m sure, but I can’t seem to think of a better one at this moment in time. Regardless, the results are in and Canadian models took up 4 out of 30 spots – not so shabby! Here’s the list, in no particular order:
1. Gemma Ward 2. Agyness Deyn 3. Daria Werbowy

4. Lara Stone 5. Lily Donaldson 6. Natalia Vodianova 7. Natasha Poly 8. Doutzen Kroes 9. Anja Rubik 10. Freja Beha Erichsen 11. Chanel Iman 12. Iris Strubegger 13. Anna Selezneva 14. Irina Lazareanu

15. Karen Elson 16. Karlie Kloss 17. Kasia Struss 18. Kim Noorda 19. Catherine McNeil 20. Coco Rocha

21. Isabeli Fontana 22. Sasha Pivovarova 23. Vlada Roslyakova 24. Magdalena Frackowiak 25. Gisele Bündchen 26. Jessica Stam

27. Raquel Zimmermann 28. Lily Cole 29. Mariacarla Boscono 30. Maryna Linchuk
Kate Moss, by the way, is notably absent from the list. Not to fret, however, as she was honoured with her own list documenting a decade of covers for Vogue Paris. Very fitting.

Topshop, Topshop, where art thou Topshop? I am dying for our very own Topshop in Toronto! How much longer must they keep us waiting?
