It’s been rather quiet on the Cate Blanchett front of late, so when we spotted her on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar Australia‘s May 2013 issue, we couldn’t have been happier.
A fashion spread made up entirely of one of our favourite sartorial heroines decked out in one Roland Mouret dress after another? Perfection.

Cate Blanchett covers Harper’s Bazaar UK‘s April 2012 issue, and we couldn’t be happier about it. We missed dearly her and her fabulous sense of style during the Oscars red carpet coverage last week.
It’s about time we got our Cate fix. Thanks to Harper’s, these gorgeous shots of the actress in Lanvin, Ralph Lauren, Alexander McQueen and Antonio Berardi are doing the trick.

Earlier this month we got our first look at Tom Ford’s Spring 2011 womenswear collection through an editorial in Vogue US‘s December 2010 issue. Now the first images from the presentation at NYFW have been published in the January 2011 issue of Harper’s Bazaar UK. Shot exclusively by Terry Richardson, the images show Beyonce Knowles, Lauren Hutton, Joan Smalls, Liya Kebede and more working it in to-die-for Tom Ford creations.
The more I see of this collection, the more awed I am by it. Are you as blown away as I am?
More photos after the jump!

I used to be immune to Alexa Chung’s appeal. It was ‘bazaar’ (hahaha) and difficult to believe that her style as a TV presenter in the UK was so revered — a North American counterpart does not exist. I was thus skeptical of people’s judgments and ignored her (by “her” I mean her thread
in the Fashion Spot).
She floated in the periphery of my mind until — BAM! — the image of her face confronted mine on the website
of Garance Doré.
The thing about Garance is that her photographic skills are magical and can transform anyone into a paragon of beauty. Consequently, in the instant that I saw Alexa’s photograph all reservations dissipated and I became her gazillionth fan. Watch out, you’re next!
Annex: I have thus far escaped the allure of Alexa – but that gown! I imagine that each and every detail of it was handstitched by fairies.
