Stylin’ from the Backseat: Summer Leather

Leather shorts in 25 degree weather? Only a leather addict like yours truly. I know you’ve got one burning question for me: wasn’t your posterior uncomfortably sweaty? Indeed it was not. You’ll just have to take my word for it.

This Erdem blouse, by the way, is one of my most beloved items in my closet. It was a permanent fixture in my wardrobe rotation last summer, and I’m so happy to welcome it back. I’ll be wearing this blouse until it’s threadbare. Same goes for the ~~sweaty~~ leather shorts by Pink Tartan.

Coveting from the Backseat: Cole Haan ‘Alisa’ Oxford

At the end of the summer last year, I reluctantly retired the pair of Zara off-white oxfords that I’d lived in nonstop until they were grey, scuffed all over and featuring a gaping hole. I’ve been on the hunt for replacements ever since, and I finally found a pair this week that’s everything I’ve dreamed of and then some: the Cole Haan ‘Alisa’, a classic oxford with a candy-coloured twist.

Not only does the Alisa come in a range of fun colour combinations, but it’s also light as a feather. The Nike Air soles quite literally knocked my socks off. I pranced around the Cole Haan store in awe, feeling like I was walking on fluffy pink clouds. I exaggerate not. I can’t wait to bring a pair of these magical shoes home to balance out some of the decidedly less comfortable 6″ heeled stilettos in my closet…as soon as I can decide on which colour.
