Not having been a fan of the Anna Sui for Target Gossip Girl-inspired collection that’s currently available in stores, I was hoping that Rodarte for Target would be much more appealing to me given the fabulous creations we’ve seen on Natalie Portman and other celebs since Rodarte’s first season. Preview pics posted on nitrolicious have me disappointed, however. Sure, I can step out of my style comfort zone and take a leap once in a while, but these pieces would require several leaps for me. I can handle a little bit of animal print and sequin accents here and there, but these pieces are altogether too much for me. Conservative of me, I know, but that’s why there’s a second Backseat Styler, who I’m sure has the capacity to appreciate the collection more than I can.
