I wasn’t sure about them. Disappointingly, the dainty, ethereal feel of the runway pumps seemed to have been lost in translation; the organza, lace and colour of the bootie alternative combined for a much heavier look. Of course, it was also thousands of dollars cheaper (though still out of reach). I wrote them off though and told myself that perhaps in my next life as a lady who lunches I will come back for those runway pumps.
Yesterday, however, I happened to stop by Net-a-porter and what was staring back at me but those organza & lace booties I had written off as too heavy, looking soft and romantic and dainty and downright magical. This is me removing my foot from my mouth and putting these gorgeous booties on my Spring wish list.
