I made a New Year’s resolution earlier this year to not buy any more shoes, especially fancy schmancy evening shoes. I haven’t done a very good job at keeping this resolution, much to the chagrin of Mr. Backseat Styler; in fact, I would file this one under ‘Epic Failures’.
Today’s temptation arrived in my inbox in the form of an e-mail from the Outnet heralding their new arrivals on this sunny Tuesday morning. When I saw that the site had stocked the Chloé bow pumps that I’d been unsuccessfully scouring eBay for in my size, I nearly fell out of my chair I was so freakin’ excited!
Then I took a look at the price and nearly fell out of my chair a second time. I did a double take to be sure and my heart plummeted to the depths of despair when my eyes confirmed that the price was, in fact, $774 (original retail $1,290). So much for that.
On an optimistic note, however, anyone looking to buy their favourite Backseat Styler a belated Labour Day gift can find the bow pumps of my dreams here. Size 35.5 please!
