With wedding season in full swing and this year’s brides-to-be in the final stages of planning, they just might find that one of the details they’ve left to the end is the shoes that will be adorning their feet. The dress has been ordered and the make-up artist and hair stylist booked, but which fabulous shoes will she don for her walk down the aisle?
I already danced my first dance almost four years ago in blinged-out Stuart Weitzmans, but if I were getting married this summer I’d do it in these Valentino leather and tulle-embellished mesh sandals (pictured above) in a heartbeat. They’re a reissue of a Spring 2010 style in white, and are available only at Net-a-porter.
In fact, from ornate Alexander McQueens to trendy Charlotte Olympias, the online retailer has stocked exclusive styles by the world’s top shoemakers for the bride with some room in the wedding budget…and likely an existing shoe problem.

I love those Valentino pumps! They are the perfect romantic looking shoe with a hint of whimsy and class. Those Charlotte Olympia pumps are gorgeous as well; the little sculpting on the back of the heel remind me of wings.
The Valentinos are definitely the most romantic shoe I’ve ever seen. So exquisite. If I ever got my hands on a pair, I’d probably never take them out of the box for fear of ruining them!
These are all so gorgeous!
I am especially loving the Charlotte Olympia pumps!

You can never go wrong with a pair of Charlotte Olympias! The Dollys are so gorgeous I wouldn’t mind a pair in each colour.
Oh my gosh, Valentino NEVER fails to amaze me when it comes to their over-the-top frills and florals. Absolutely stunning. Now if I could budget just one of these pretties into my wardrobe, I’d die happy
You and me both, Cee! Valentino is right up my girly alley too.
The first pair is breathtaking.
Incredibly so. I thought it couldn’t get any better when Valentino made this style in blush last year. I was wrong.
Gorgeous shoes, but might I suggest non-white shoes? I had two for my wedding last summer, a pair of silver d’Orsays and a pair of pewter wedges.
You’re absolutely right, Cynthia – wedding shoes definitely don’t have to be white! A stark white shoe wouldn’t work with an ivory dress, which mine was. It just so happens the ones that stole my heart were all white.
