Smythe and I go way back. Way before a certain Duchess donned a certain navy jacket, I was already the Canadian label’s #1 fan. From red tartan equestrian blazers to buffalo check hunting jackets, Andrea Lenczner and Christie Smythe’s designs have become staples in my closet over the last few years. Most of my acquisitions have been from Fall collections though (my favourite season to dress for!), and I’m looking to add some more summery options to the mix.
Enter Smythe’s Spring 2012 lookbook. It’s chock full of incredibly smart jackets in lighter fabrics and bolder colours for the warm weather months that are hopefully around the corner. That navy blue blazer with contrast shawl collar? Need, want, have to have. Same goes for the nautical striped jacket with wide lapels. It looks like Smythe just claimed a big chunk of Spring clothing fund, yet again.
