Back in August, Macy’s announced that their next designer collaboration would be with Italian couturier Giambattista Valli, and I’ve been waiting patiently ever since for a first look at the designs. Macy’s finally hosted a preview of the 17-piece collection yesterday in New York, and released the complete lookbook and ad campaign as well.
Valli’s bread and butter is party dresses, and for Impulse at Macy’s they come adorned with bows, petals and ruffles, with some leopard print thrown in for good measure, too. “This capsule reflects my enduring loves, but is really a celebration of my biggest inspiration of all ‐ the energy and vitality of women themselves,” Valli said. “I love dressing them for all their happiest moments, making them feel as special as possible. This collection is a passport into my world and a chance to experience the passion and romance of my house and Paris itself.”
The collection is set to bow on October 26 in 225 Macy’s stores across the US, as well as online at macys.com/impulse. I’ve got my eye on that lovely red printed maxi dress with the oversized bow! It’ll be perfect for the holiday season. What’s on your wish list?
