Oscar de la Renta gown at White Toronto
Ask a few married women if they enjoyed wedding planning and you’ll get answers ranging from “I loved it – it was so much fun!” to “I hated it, it was so stressful, and I’m glad I never have to do it ever again!”. I fall in bucket A, with a tiny bit of B thrown in there. Even so, I wish I’d paid a visit to The Wedding Show when I was planning the big day. When rock-it promotions so graciously invited me to the show this weekend (thank you!), I paid it forward by bringing along my bride-to-be friend A along for the ride.
As soon as the elevator doors opened on the 7th floor of the Carlu in Toronto, we were blown away by just how pretty everything was. We found ourselves surrounded by stunning bridal gowns and accessories and beautiful (and equally delicious!) cakes and other confections. Meaning: we were in wedding planning heaven.
Things only got better as we made our way from room to room, oohing and aahing over the dresses and munching on cake samples. For a mere $20 at the door, brides-to-be and their entourages are presented with the best edit of wedding vendors I’ve seen at a bridal show to date – definitely worth every penny! Plus, I’m fairly certain I ate more than $20 worth of macarons. Just sayin’.
Check out the show this weekend on Saturday 10-6 and Sunday 10-5.

Oh YUM!!!
I LOVED wedding planning – sure there were stressful times but the majority of was fun! No friends getting married this year (yet) unfortunately so I’ll cross my fingers that someone will let me plan a party or something
As someone who do not plan on having a wedding (b/c I know I’ll hate the planning), I LOVE looking at wedding-related things because how can it not put a smile on your face? It’s just so romantic.
For obvious reasons this is right up my alley darlin’. FANTASTIC!! Checking each and every link. LOVE.
Hey that’s Jo in your Henkaa photo! I’ve got the grey dress, it rocks!
Henkaa was a new discovery for me at The Wedding Show. Fantastic concept! I was really impressed with all the ways you could wear the dress.
P.S. I love getting comments from Switzerland!
Hope all is well!
ya hehe she gave me some samples to show around Oz so once I’m back there, I’ll be back on the showing off Henkaa stuff wagon!
