My mother tends to have a lot of opinions to share and advice to dispense on a wide variety of topics. In fact, over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of hearing her thoughts on such exhilarating subject matter as the dangers of all of the following: drinking too little milk, eating too little fruit, drinking too little water, peeing too infrequently, not wearing SPF 130 sunscreen, using too much soap, using too much shampoo, not brushing/flossing as much as she does…yes, there’s a common theme.
Once in a while, however, my mother ventures away from her usual health-related complaints about me and my lifestyle and enters into shopping/fashion territory, which always catches me by surprise. One such time, quite a number of years ago, she scolded me for buying multiples of pieces of clothing in different colours/patterns. At the time, the offending items were Club Monaco cardigans and dress shirts I’d had the audacity to purchase in multiple colours.
Well, it seems I share this bit of a bad habit with a certain very famous somebody – the one and only VB. She’s such a fan of this GOAT mini dress she has it in black, yellow, as well as red…and she’s decided that her Brian Atwood nude Zenith pumps go with every colour. You and I are on the same page, VB…whoever said you can have too much of a good thing just never found the right dress. I’m lookin’ at you, mom!
